Hello, my name is Cyndi Borrowman! I am the current owner of the Rastello Room. Here is my story!

Welcome to the official Rastello Room page! Blood, sweat, and tears went into creating this event venue! As a real estate broker/co owner of PCRE Real Estate & Auction, Inc, we were looking to find a larger office space in beautiful Calhoun County! The Rastello Building needed a major renovation to turn it into something alive again! My love of history, old buildings, and preservation led me to purchase the building in 2019. So many memories people have from this old building! The name was everchanging over the years when new owners would purchase this building for their tavern. From my research, some blasts from the past names include Parker’s Tavern, Sportman’s, County Seat, Big Al’s, Brink & Dolly’s, Houdini’s, and most recently The Main St Bar. But, the name that stands out as the oldest was Rastello’s Bar. This was the family that added the upstairs addition and brick facade with the “Rastello” name plate. It seemed fitting to name the room after the original family that built it as it is today! During the renovation process, we really didn’t need that entire area for PCRE offices. A wall was rebuilt like it had been over 100 years ago which separtes PCRE from the Rastello Room. Not only would this space be used for land auctions, I felt this could also benefit Calhoun County by having a unique place to host their events! The Rastello Room held its grand opening Saturday, September 25th, 2020. We were blessed to even have some of the family from the original Rastello family!

Since the grand opening, the Rastello Room has been very successful! The Rastello Room has fulfilled it’s intended purpose and continues to expand its horizons in the event world as we are happy to host our very first wedding in February of 2023! The events that have been hosted include:
